Definition: RC-AKIC International college is an institution of higher learning, a private college, in the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao(ARMM) Philippines.
The mission of the said institution is to provide high quality of advance, professional and technical education to the Muslim and other Youth in the Philippines and the ASEAN region serving as a catalyst of development in Muslim communities especially in the ARMM through the traditional functions of institution, research, and extension services.
It is also said that one of the aims of the RC(Ranao Council) is to revive the true history of islamic civilization and it's influence to our modern society.
The Institution is classified into 5 major courses. This courses were carefully selected in order to compliment the needs of the society and to ensure a clearer and more brighter future. Still, AKIC is still in it's begining sta ge, and that the founders of the institution are now trying to improve it to meet the needs of the society in the near future.

a.)BS ACCOUNTANCY:
The Bachelor of Science in Accountancy(BSA) prepares student for entry into a variety of fields in accountancy, including corporate accounting, accounting information systems, and governmental accounting, as well as entry into graduate programs such as law. It also equips students with basic and advance accounting concepts, principles and procedures. In addition to doing accounting functions for business enterprises, the students are prepared for public accounting after passing the CPA licensure examination.

b.)BS COMPUTER SCIENCE:
The Bachelor of Computer Science, (abbreviated BCompSc or BCS), is a type of bachelor's degree, usually awarded after three or more years of collegiate study in computer science. In general Computer Science degrees emphasize the mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing, rather than teaching specific technologies that may quickly become outdated.

c.)BS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY:
The BSIT degree program is specifically designed to provide an avenue of advancement for students with associates degrees in a technology discipline such as networking (e.g.: The Associate in Science Degree in Computer Networking at Oxnard College or Computer Network Systems Engineering at Moorpark College). This new program gives the student the opportunity to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology. The course work will provide a foundation in mathematics, programming, networking, databases, web, computer architecture and information systems. The BSIT sits between a BS in Computer Science and a BS in Management Information Systems, emphasizing the fastest growing segments of the both: Web Systems, Databases, and Networks. For a foundation, the BSIT program draws from two camps: mathematics, science, and computer programming from Computer Science, and business organization and project management from Management Information Systems. From there it adds depth in Web Programming and Technology, Database Theory and Design, and Data Communications and Networking, while allowing for further depth in these or related areas such as e-Commerce, Computer Security, and Multimedia. Students entering this program are expected to have already attained an associates degree in a technology area (or the equivalent), with at least 30 units that are "GE certified" for the CSU system, including courses in: Statistics, First Course in a Laboratory science (Physics, Chemistry, or Biology), First course in a programming language such as C, Java (preferred), or C++, Computer Architecture and Assembly Language.

d.)BS ELEMENTARY EDUCATION:
The School of Education offers an exemplary program in elementary education designed to provide a balanced blend of theory and practice. Throughout the elementary education degree program college students will complete at least 570 hours in a variety of hands-on elementary teaching and field-based experiences in the K-8 classroom. The Elementary Education program features class sizes of 20-25 students this guarantee that all elementary education students receive the attention they deserve. A background in state-of-the-art educational technology prepares students majoring in the elementary education program the ability to integrate computer technology into their elementary educational instruction.

e.)BS SECONDARY EDUCATION:
The B.S.Ed. in secondary education is intended to prepare students for successful careers as teachers of children in middle school/junior high and high school settings. The secondary education degree is divided into two concentrations: early adolescence, for middle school/junior high settings, and adolescence/young adulthood, for high school settings. Pre-service teachers must choose one or both concentrations to complete the degree. Upon satisfactory completion of the program, and the other requirements listed under Teacher Licensure in the Special Academic Regulations, you are eligible to apply for an Indiana teaching license.
