Global Warming in Lanao
"Global warming is the biggest environmental concern facing the world today."
Definition:global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the earth's atmosphere, especially a sustained increase sufficient to cause climatic. This is due to excessive production of pollution(unnecessary substance in the environment that is not needed i).This could be in air(CO2 and etc.),in water(garbage, oil spills and etc.), or in land. Adding this to the environment can destroy the natural balance in our ecosystem.
In Lanao , we have also experienced the effects of global warming; The decrease in water level of our lake Lanao, which is one of the main source of our electricity here in Mindanao because of the intense heat our world is experiencing. Not only that, but also the slow contamination of the lake due to it's people's poor waste managements. If this keeps on, many lives will be ruined due to many sickness that might occur because of contamination or living around the lake would be impossible because lake lanao is the main source of fresh water of the maranao people.
It's now up to the maranao youth to make the difference.

The Most Important Thing In I Value
"A Pendant"
Definition:
-It is said that the ward "PENDANT" came from an old french word meaning a hanging object.
Yes, a pendant is a hanging object used by many by wearing it on their neck.
some functions of a pendant are as follows:
My pendant has a sentimental value. It was given to me by my classmates in high school (six years ago.)
It all started on June 20, 1989 when my classmates started asking me of anything I would love to have. At first, I was wondering why would they ask such thing knowing that this people are slight selfish. I ignored them and continued reading my favorite manga. After our class, I packed my things up and I started live the school. On the hallway, they were waiting for me. I told them that "look, if you guys have something to say, say it!!!". after all, they were starting to irritate me. They asked the same question, I replied "OK, since you guys are so energetic in asking that question, I would love to have anything that I could wear in my neck or finger. there, Contented?".Suddenly, they left me without any kind of expression. Days have passed and I noticed that my friends are so cold when I socialize with them. This was becoming often until on the fifth day(june 20, 1989). There was a present on my table. I asked my fellow classmates if who owns that present. One replied "You dumdum!!!, look who's name is written on the box". It was for Me, I asked them why would they give me a gift. They told Me it's My birthday. I was so suprised because I did'nt told anyone of my birthday because I was a muslim and that all my classmates were christians. They told me that "muslim or not we are all filipinos and, each one of us must respect each other despite of our differences in our beliefs".Knowing that they've used so much effort to search the date of my birth, and giving me an item that I would appriciate, I thanked them. Since then, all my classmates became my friends and, I was always participating in every activities in school(The gift was a pendat). later I found out that my advicer was the one who started it all, and some of my friends(bestfrinds) just participated because they thought that all muslims were rich and that I was a son of a rich person. I have to chase that all over the campus because of that, but still they were my bestest friends I've ever had
In short, this pendant(which I still posses) reminded me of the saying" don't judje the book by it's cover; and as long as I have it, it will always remind me of them.
